What belongs in Dongguan

Dongguan and Guangzhou are both in the Pearl River Delta. Use Dongguan as the second node, and for manufacturing or cross-border access.

Manufacturing and industrial systems

Factory, production-line and industrial workloads, close to the Delta’s manufacturing base.

Cross-border and Bay Area traffic

Access nodes for cross-border commerce, on Telecom, Unicom, Mobile or BGP.

Backup for Guangzhou

When production is in Guangzhou, Dongguan is the same-region copy. Both sites are standard power.

A protected public entry

Add Dongguan when the public entry needs a protected egress. Capacity is scoped to the workload. This page does not publish a fixed threshold.

How it fits with the other sites

Dongguan does not replace Guiyang’s high-power cabinets, or Guangzhou as the main South China access point. It adds same-region backup, and the entry that needs protection.

  • Ordinary servers: per-U colocation, or a full or half cabinet
  • Main South China access: Guangzhou first; Dongguan for backup, manufacturing or cross-border
  • Fully loaded training: Guiyang at 15 / 20 / 40 kW
  • North China users: the access node goes to Beijing

FAQ

FAQ

Is Dongguan a protected-egress site?

When the public entry needs a protected egress, Dongguan can be added to the design. Capacity is scoped to the workload. This page does not publish a fixed scrubbing threshold.

Does Dongguan have high-power cabinets?

Not at present. Dongguan is standard power. Fully loaded training goes to Guiyang at 15, 20 or 40 kW.

How is this different from Guangzhou?

Guangzhou is the South China access and inference point. Dongguan is for manufacturing, cross-border traffic, and a protected public entry. The two can back each other up.

Can I visit or deliver the server myself?

Yes. Visits, entry and self-delivery need an appointment and a valid ID. You can also ship the server for engineers to receive and rack. The address is shared when you book.

Per-U colocation or a full cabinet?

One or two servers: per-U colocation. More gear, or a locked cabinet: a full or half cabinet. Price on request.
